Tabala Classes

Tabla classes are designed to teach students the art of playing the tabla, a popular percussion instrument in Indian classical music. These classes are suitable for beginners as well as advanced learners. Students start by learning the basic hand positions, strokes (called bols), and simple rhythm patterns (taals). As they progress, they explore more complex compositions, improvisation, and accompaniment skills.

Classes often follow the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara (teacher-student tradition), ensuring personal guidance and deep understanding. Lessons may include both theory and practicals, helping students learn the structure of taals like Teentaal, Keharwa, Dadra, and more. Students also gain experience in solo performances and accompaniment with vocal or instrumental music. The aim of these classes is to develop rhythm sense, coordination, and a love for Indian classical music.

Mode of Instruction

Offline Mode

In the offline mode, students attend in-person classes at the school premises, following the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara. This immersive method allows for deeper connection and personal guidance. Offline classes are conducted in individual format, providing a comprehensive learning environment for students seeking traditional, face-to-face instruction.

Our packages are available for individual classes, with options for monthly, quarterly, and annual payments. Discounts are available for long-term commitments. We aim to make traditional music learning accessible, affordable, and adaptable to every learner’s needs.

Tabala - Individual Class

Individual classes are conducted on a one-to-one basis for personalized attention, held once a week for a duration of 45 minutes. It is available only in  offline formats. Flexible timings are available based on the convenience of both teacher and student.
